Tablo is a true enterprise solution that can be used from the ICU to the clinic to the home. Treatments must be administered under physician’s prescription and observed by a trained individual who is considered competent in the use of the device. Treatment types available include: Intermittent Hemodialysis (IHD), Sustained Low Efficiency Dialysis (SLED/SLEDD), Prolonged Intermittent Renal Replacement Therapy (PIRRT) and Isolated Ultrafiltration. This device is not indicated for continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and is cleared for use for up to 24 hours. The dialysate generated by this device is not sterile and should not be used for intravenous (IV) infusion.
For clinicians, training on Tablo is typically quicker and easier than traditional dialysis machines. Most nurses can be trained on Tablo in under 4 hours. Outset also offers services to support specific knowledge areas, like vascular access and the basics of dialysis care.
Patients and care partners are typically able to learn all device-related activities to start using Tablo at home in less than 4 training sessions, or about 2 weeks. During the training, the patient and care partner will learn how to operate the Tablo system, monitor vital signs, administer medication, master aseptic technique, perform machine maintenance and troubleshoot emergency situations. The clinic will conduct training, and determine when a patient is ready to start treating at home.
Our team has the expertise, commitment and hands-on experience to make it easy for you to integrate Tablo into your dialysis program or home. For more information about the services and programs Outset offers to providers, please visit the Services page. For patients interested in home dialysis, please visit the Patients page.
TabloHub and MyTablo are online portals where customers and patients can access the data generated by their Tablo systems including treatment flow sheets and training materials. On-demand access to data and information reduces delays in acquiring reports and training material, improving efficiencies.

Discover Dialysis is an online program created by experienced dialysis professionals, designed to establish clinical knowledge and practice needed to run a successful dialysis program. Participants are assigned modules in Outset University, accessible via TabloHub, which they have 60 days to complete. Upon completion of the program, participants receive a certificate of completion and 17 contact hours.
The Vascular Access Program is designed to help establish staff experience in cannulation and vascular access management to get dialysis services up and running.
Facilitated by experienced dialysis professionals, this day-and-a-half comprehensive program provides the hands-on support needed to grow clinical knowledge and practice. The program includes an online preparatory module, one day of didactics and a half-day of hands-on training, where participants learn how to cannulate using artificial arms. Participants receive a certificate of completion and are awarded 10 contact hours.
Recent technological advancements, changes in reimbursement policies, and increased clinical evidence suggest that hospitals and health systems can enhance the value of their services by providing comprehensive care to dialysis patients. This includes care in hospital settings, outpatient clinics and in patients’ homes.
To assist organizations in capitalizing on this opportunity, a set of customizable solutions called Destination Home has been developed. This offering includes project management, accelerated accreditation, and tele-nephrology support, all aimed at addressing common challenges and facilitating successful implementation of outpatient services. If limited staff resources or lack of experience with regulations, policies, or procedures are hindering your ability to expand outpatient services, Destination Home can help.
Designed for facilities that are transitioning from an outsourced dialysis provider to owning their own dialysis service line, the Bridge Program fills common staffing and expertise gaps while putting the new dialysis program on a path to self-sufficiency.
Outset dialysis nurses, all experts on Tablo, join your staff full-time for 4-13 weeks, providing support, supervising treatments, answering clinical questions and helping with hands-on skills training. Different from a staffing agency, this program provides a safety net during that critical early transition stage.
All Outset customers receive access to TabloHub, which includes the assignment of e-learning training modules to support Tablo system training. With assessments at the end of each module, Tablo e-learning modules are the perfect accompaniment to a successful Tablo program – from pre-launch to implementation to program expansion.
