At Outset Medical, we seek to engage candidates in a transparent manner. We know, however, that scammers may pose as potential employers seeking to fill a position to obtain peoples’ personal information or to steal money. While we cannot control the actions of these bad actors, we have provided the following information about our hiring practices to help you determine whether you are being contacted about a legitimate job opening at Outset Medical.
With very few exceptions, we do not contact individuals for jobs that we do not have listed on our career website.
We will never ask you to provide us with money to complete the application, interview or onboarding process.
We do not send candidates money during the application, interview or onboarding process. The only exception is if you incur reimbursable expenses in connection with attending an on-site interview, such as airline tickets, parking expenses and similar expenses. Expenses are reimbursed after they are incurred.
While we may communicate with candidates over emails or chat (such as recruiting platform messaging capabilities) for purposes of determining a candidate’s interest in applying to a certain position of scheduling interviews, we do not conduct our interviews via chat.
We do not ask job candidates to send us their credit reports.
We do not ask our candidates to provide us with account numbers, social security numbers and other similar information over email or messaging services. Where such information is needed, we provide our candidates with applications that have features that are designed to protect the confidentiality of their information.
We do not ask our candidates to install any software as part of our interview process.
If you have been contacted by someone about a position at Outset and you would like to confirm whether the outreach is legitimate, please contact us at [email protected].
