Jean-Olivier Racine joined Outset as Chief Technology Officer in June 2021. He has more than a decade of experience leading the architecture and implementation of high-performing health technology engineering and AI/machine learning software products and services. Jean-Olivier joined the company from Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he most recently served as the Head of Engineering & Science, AWS Health AI. Previously, he spent a decade in various leadership roles at Amazon, including Head of Cloud Services and Alexa, Halo; Head of Digital Media Catalog Services, Fire TV; and other senior engineering, software/algorithm development, and product optimization positions.

Jean-Olivier received his undergraduate degree in Production Automation Engineering, Health Technologies, and his Master of Engineering, Health Technologies, from the University of Québec – École de technologie supérieure (ETS).
